"Garry did the most amazing job !"

When it came to the organising of the decor, cake and flowers for our 1950's tea party themed wedding, Garry did the most amazing job. He had so many wonderful ideas and went out of his way to design and make our day as special as it was. We had so many comments about how wonderful our reception looked and my flowers were simply stunning. Garry made Planning our wedding less stressful and more fun ! we can't recommend him highly enough . He's a super talented guy and now he's our good friend too

"Garry is Amazing !"

He is full of wonderful ideas and helped to make our wedding very special , everything we imagined and more, from the beautiful vintage style hand made bouquets and button holes, to the venue decor, including the most magnificent sweetie table we had ever seen!

Everything we asked for we got with abit of extra magic.

We would recommend Garry to anyone looking for the personal touch.

If we did it again we wouldnt change a thing !

"garry is always a pleasure to work with"

Garry and 'Off Our Trolley Arts' have worked with children in our school a number of times- helping us win the 'best on foot' category at Shrewsbury Carnival for our Peter Pan Themed shenanigans, creating animal masks for 'Noah's Flood' performances and turning our school hall into a fairy grotto for our Midsummer Night's Dream performances- as well as making dozens of fairy garlands and turning an above average year 6 boy and girl into an amazing Oberon and Titania. Garry is ALWAYS a pleasure to work with. He interacts brilliantly with the children and manages them and their behaviour very well. Garry is enthusiastic about what he does and that is inherited by the children... He likes their ideas to grow and encourages them to not give up if an idea doesn't work... Find a solution-change your first idea- what do we need to do to make it work. Garry demonstrates perseverance and resilience, essential life skills. I am always amazed by Garry's creative ideas! He can visualise what he wants to do and then makes it happen! He has an extremely enviable creative eye and, as a primary school teacher, I wish I had just a fraction of his wonderful ideas. Any project you have that needs visual impact, amazing props or that 'wow' factor and Garry is your man! Also he is a thoroughly nice bloke!!

'Garry's Art projects have depth and meaning'

Garry as been working with The Sexual Health Promotion Service over a number of years now; mainly on our Campaign Events for World AIDS Day each year. His enthusiasm and flare for using the arts as a catalyst for very challenging health promotion work is infectious. one of the numderous projects  he planned and Co-ordinated a highly successful Fashion Show  designed and made by BCU BA Degree Fashion Students not only culminating in a spectacular show at Selfridges, but also raising awareness of the stigma and discrimination around HIV with the fashion students he worked with  & opening the doors for sexual health testing screening with students across the city.

It was a media hit with air time on BBC Midlands today showing to an audience over around 5 million.

Garry has also managed the entire WAD Campaign since 2008 on behalf of our service and added colour and vibrancy to all the events he Co-ordinated. these include concerts , lantern parade, flash mob, art exhibtions & memoiral serivices at the Cathedral.

I think Garry’s work speaks for itself,  but there is always more than surface pizzazz; his art projects have depth and meaning and the processes he employs with the groups he works with ensure that they benefit in a multitude of ways- increasing confidence, self esteem, practical skills etc… It is always a pleasure to work with Garry and he would definitely be top of the list for any new arts –based or campaign initiatives we are planning in the future.

 "Garry engages and empowers"

We have worked with Garry on a variety of projects over the last twelve years including carnivals, flag festivals and lantern festivals.  Garry has impressed us with his ability to work with and motivate a wide variety of people, of all ages, from our diverse multi-cultural communities.  He is clearly sensitive to their particular needs and has the skills to develop individuals, nurturing confidence and a sense of well being.  Garry has also managed to diffuse potentially difficult and sensitive situations whilst maintaining a cohesive and focused group withinworkshops.  The majority of the carnival workshops, for example, have included young children, teenagers, adults and the elderly, all of whom worked in harmony under Garry’s direction.  Also of particular note is Garry’s artistic ingenuity and versatility. This is demonstrated in his ability to rapidly develop ideas, work with any material

(including apparent ‘junk’) whilst engaging and empowering even the least confident participants.
